Availability of Stock
Due to the nature of a breeding herd there may be other horses possibly for sale not listed here – talk to us about your requirements and we will help find the horse to best suit your needs.
Icelandic horses are relatively new in Australia, therefore breeding age mares and riding aged horses for sale are in high demand and short supply.
Not all icelandic horses are

Things to consider
As our animals are raised in a herd environment from birth we recommend that any prospective Icelandic horse owner take into consideration the need for these horses to have an equine companion. If you do not already have other horses and are not able to purchase two Icelandics we recommend that you find/borrow a suitable companion which can be agisted or housed with your horse, preferably as a long term option.

Training
Icelandic Horses are not trained to saddle until about four years of age.
Although it is preferable that they are trained by someone with gaited horse experience it is not an absolute necessity and training can be undertaken by any good trainer. We will be hosting international trainers who specialise in the Icelandic Horse throughout the year and will be able to help arrange for them to assist with anyone requiring training or training advice. There is also a steady stream of
enthusiastic young riders and trainers travelling from Europe who are keen to work with Icelandic horses as they make their way around the country.
